Read the full changelogIf you have the feeling that your controller may not be working as it should, you may need to run a few tests in order to ensure everything is in order. As its name suggests, Game Controller Tester is an application designed for this very purpose.
The app allows you to test all your device's buttons, analog controls and vibration motors. It offers several interesting features, but it sports a very outdated UI.
Easily tell if any of the controls on your gamepad are faulty
First-time users should get accustomed to this application quickly enough, though its layout is a bit unusual. Keep in mind that the program only begins registering gamepad input once you have entered test mode.
Any button you press is highlighted on the in-app controller model, in addition to trigger and thumb sticks movement. You can even see how big the deadzone is when using the thumb sticks.
Manage multiple devices and test your gamepad's vibration motors
Game Controller Tester allows you to switch between up to four devices, though it is unclear if any models aside from the Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamepads are supported. If the controllers are battery-powered, the app even displays their current charge level.
Benchmarking the vibration motors is as simple as can be, as you can press the triggers to increase the vibration speed, and the app enables you to switch between the grip and trigger motors.
On the whole, Game Controller Tester is a useful app that provides you with all the tools you need to benchmark your gamepads and ensure nothing is amiss, but it doesn't impress from a visual standpoint. Still, it is functional, and it can be customized extensively.

I needed to test all of my controllers buttons from my new Xbox One S controller and this app does just that. Of course some people may not understand that you need to press start and select together to start the testing but overall it works as stated. It even has a option to test the rumble in the triggers which is also a nice feature. Custom tree repositoriesmijn site.

The interface could use some polishing as it's rather busy. However the program worked great at testing the controller.

I got this downloaded and finished testing my controller in less than a minute. This proved my hardware was totally fine and the game I'm trying to play is busted!

The 'vibration power' slider doesn't seem to do anything. Pressing 'Buzz' only vibrates the controller for a very short burst. Whether or not Vibration or Impulse trigger was checked didn't seem to matter - pressing Buzz vibrates either both or just the triggers, regardless. English is confusing - 'Check vibration by press Triggers' I thought meant 'check the vibration by pressing the triggers', but that doesn't check the vibration. I think it means 'check the impulse rumble/trigger rumble'.

Chomp is clueless. This is the only tester available currently. Simple app that clearly shows which inputs are working and which ones are failing. It quickly confirmed my suspicions about my left joystick having only 37% of it's normal range.
